Christmas Elf

I know I'm like two months late, but I had no intentions to post this after I drew it back in December because I didn't like it at first. Now after having it on my wall for a few months, I kinda do and wanna share it.

Don't ask me what she's doing with her hands because I have no idea XD. I think my original plan was to have her cupping her own cheeks, then I thought I wanted her to be posing (left hand under her chin and right hand was going to be touching her necklace, then I wanted her to be holding a box but I knew I would either ruin the paper or get stuck with erase marks... and then that strange 'caressing of the box' happened XD. And I can't explain the holly; I wanted it to be on the right of her head, but somehow drew it in the middle of her bangs and didn't notice.

As for those monstrosity snowflakes; those of you who live in New England like me will understand that there are snowflakes that sometimes mutate together into these huge clumpy balls, and look like the ones you see in the foreground. XD

I don't submit my traditionally drawn pictures normally because the image quality is usually terrible after I scan them, but I somehow managed to make this one work. Hope you like it. :3

This was drawn with oil pastels, detailed with colored pencils, the snowflakes were drawn with a white out marker, and I adjusted the quality using GIMP.
